How does the CPAP Work?
A CPAP is a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure
Machine which through a mask over your nose or your
nose and mouth makes an air splint in your airway,
which prevents the collapse of the airway. This
pressure allows you to keep air flow to your lungs,
which keeps oxygen levels more normal throughout
your body. What if I cannot use my machine?
You and your DME provider should work together to
determine what the problem is and what solution is
best. If you are unable to use the equipment, you
will not get any benefit. We at King Home Care take
much pride in helping our patients with any problems
or questions. There are new masks and technology
that has come along to help you cope with using the
CPAP. |
